Alabama Primary Elections were held last June 1, 2010 and there are many surprises came from the results – from unexpected lost and unexpected winning of different candidates of different parties.
In the “lost candidates” scene, the spotlight goes to Parker Griffith. Apparently, some people expected that Parker Griffith is the one who will win the elections, again. But as the results came, Griffith lost his re-election bid to the Madison County Commissioner, Mo Brooks. Brooks won the race in a 50% to 33% vote of the Primaries.
While in Gubernatorial primaries, Ron Sparks won the race in a 62% to 38% vote over Democrat Artur Dravis. Dravis was dreaming to be Alabama’s first African-American nominee for governor but the some people didn’t like it so he lost by 80,000 votes.
