Happy Father’s Day: Quotes for those who love their Dads

Written by Winston Craven on Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Who would forget the man who taught us how to be strong in life. The man who built our home, our family, our entirety. The father had always been the stronghold of the entire family. When someone’s down, the father stays strong for the family.

I remember when I was young, I went home from school crying after I was bullied by the kids at school. I cried when they started teasing my pale skin. I went home crying and it was my Dad who talked to me and told me to be strong. For someone who lets himself be bullied, he will be bullied for the rest of his life, my dad said.  I could never forget that moment. It was when he first taught me how to be strong. How to bring myself up and be strong. That instance taught me how to be strong in life. It was my dad who taught me.

On this special Dad’s day, give him the most thoughtful and sweetest greetings. Make him feel extra special.

That is the thankless position of the father in the family – the provider for all, and the enemy of all.
