(CNN) – Call it a lucky streak! A Baltimore County, Maryland, man recently won $100,000 on a scratch card, and it’s not the first time.
The 47-year-old chef, whose name was not given by Maryland lottery officials, earned $1,000 earlier this year and $10,000 the year before.
He got his last winning ticket, Lucky $100,000, at Walmart in Dundalk, they said Lottery officials on Wednesday. He immediately scanned it into the lottery booth and discovered it was a winner, but assumed it was a small prize. He later scraped it off and found it cost $100,000.
“I was surprised,” he told lottery officials.
Lottery officials said in a statement that the lucky winner had worked as a chef for the past 20 years and had no plans to retire soon. Tell them that the money will be used to buy a rental property.
